Public Consultation - Progress update

Bluejay is pleased to provide an update on the Public Consultation currently underway as part of its exploitation licence application for the Dundas Ilmenite Project ('Dundas' or the 'Project') in Greenland.  Following a number of positive regional meetings, the final face-to-face public consultation meeting successfully took place at Ilulissat on Friday 31 July 2020.  The meeting due at the settlement Savissivik on 27 July 2020 was postponed due to fog hampering travel and will be rescheduled as a teleconference meeting in August.  The Public Consultation period ends on 2 September 2020.

At the meetings, the Company was represented by Bluejay COO Bo Møller Stensgaard and Dundas Titanium A/S director Hans Jensen (Dundas Titanium A/S is a 100% owned subsidiary of Bluejay, which holds the Dundas Project). Also present were the Company's consultants NIRAS and WSP|Orbicon, who have developed the Social and Environmental Impact assessments.

The Company together with the Greenlandic Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Labour, Science and Environment will now commence the drafting of the answers to the questions received at these meetings in addition to those received electronically.  These questions and their answers will form the basis of the "White Book" and will be used to make amendments if applicable to both the Social and Environmental Impact Assessments.

Greenland Government Minister for Industry and Mineral Resources Jens Frederick Nielsen stated "We were very pleased with the attendance, questions and level of support from the participants at the meetings that have taken place in Qaanaaq and Ilulissat. The Dundas Ilmenite Project represents an important opportunity for North-West Greenland and the country. At the Public Consultation meetings, we have seen considerable support from local citizens and stakeholders, and we look to continue progressing the process towards finalising the exploitation licence decision."

Greenland Government Minister for Labour, Science and Environment Jess Svane stated "I would like thank all those who participated in the regional meetings. We received good questions, input and responses from those in attendance, and we would like to thank Dundas Titanium for their rigorous approach to this important process. The project represents an environmentally low-impact mining project and we see no environmental obstacles that can't be mitigated."

Hans Jensen, Managing Director of subsidiary Dundas Titanium A/S said "I would like to thank all those who participated in the meetings that took place. In addition, I would like to thank the Government of Greenland and the municipality of Avannaata Kommunia for organizing the consultation meetings. COVID-19 has made the logistics more challenging but the meetings that took place were all successfully executed. I believe everybody left with a clear understanding that Dundas Titanium will be a supportive partner with the local inhabitants and communities while being fully cognisant and respectful of the environmental considerations in and around our licence area."

Notes

Bluejay is dual listed on the London AIM market and Frankfurt Stock Exchange with projects in Greenland and Finland. Its most advanced project is the Dundas Ilmenite Project in Greenland, which is being developed towards production in the near term.  The Dundas Ilmenite Project has been proven to be the highest-grade mineral sand ilmenite project globally, with a JORC Compliant Resource of 117 million tonnes at 6.1% ilmenite and a maiden offshore Exploration Target of between 300Mt and 530Mt of ilmenite at an average expected grade range of 0.4 - 4.8% ilmenite in-situ.

The Company's strategy is focused on securing an offtake partner and commencing commercial production at Dundas in the near term in order to create a company capable of self-funding exploration on current projects and future acquisitions.

Bluejay holds three additional projects in Greenland - the 2,897sq km Disko-Nuussuaq ('Disko') Magmatic Massive Sulphide nickel-copper-cobalt-platinum group element-gold project ('Ni-Cu-Co-PGE-Au'), which  has shown its potential to host mineralisation similar to the world's largest nickel-copper mining district at Noril'sk-Talnakh, northern Russia; the 692sq km Kangerluarsuk zinc-lead- silver project ('Kangerluarsuk'), where historical work has recovered grades of 41% zinc, 9.3% lead and 596 g/t silver and identified four large-scale drill ready targets; and the 2,025 sq km Thunderstone project which has the potential to host large-scale base metal and gold deposits.

The Company also has a 100% interest in a portfolio of copper, zinc and nickel projects in Finland.  This multi-commodity portfolio has been restructured to be cost-sustainable whilst determining the best plan for future development.
